I'm a professional artist specializing in UIs, level design, Model Textures, and logos. Basically, it's my job to take the stuff our programmers make and make it pretty. :D
I like vectors, filters, and plug-ins. Brushes are not my friend, but I'm trying to get them to warm up to me. Maybe I should buy them dinner first?
...I won't bore you with that sort of stuff here though. Here you will find my attempts (and failures) at more traditional stuff, because in a place like DA, buttons, interfaces, and menus are boring XD. I'm sure that laughing at my pathetic attempts at comics is infinitely more entertaining.
I'll also keep a folder of my sewing projects. I was a seamstress first and foremost, and that will always be the art closest to my heart :)

100 Sketch Challenge!

So my STS cohorts and I have challenged ourselves to "level up" a few skills. Most of what I need to focus on is technical, but I've decided that drawing is an essential tool for what I want to do in life. HENCE, the 100 sketch challenge. The idea is that by the end of the 100, you'll have learned and/or at least become quasi comfortable with aspects of drawing that you would never have approached before.
The only rules?
1)You can't post anything that you would be ashamed of posting (effort wise that is). It has to be something that you consider a somewhat quality piece or at least a display of what you feel is your best effort at the time

A Sketch A Day...

So our studio's dear 2D Artist Venxia has told me to just start sketching. Anything and everything, because that's the only way to get better. Sounds good to me!
I'm going to try to do a sketch a day, and upload it here. I am not allowed to let my daily sketch be something that I'd be ashamed of uploading, so this will keep me honest. I can't promise that I'll be 100% good on the "once a day" thing given all of the other work I've got for our games, but I'll damn well try :)
